WeAll Research Project

WeAll

  • creates new knowledge for the development of sustainable and equal working life in rural and urban contexts
  • develops information and tools for identifying diversity and promoting equality at work
  • identifies barriers to employment and possibilities for reconciling work and other spheres of  life
  • contributes research-based proposals for policies and practices for the improvement of well-being at work and the lengthening of careers
  • provides knowledge for decision-making processes on the development of working life and the renewal of basic services and benefit schemes.

WeAll combines academic research and societal engagement in new ways. WeAll develops and enhances dialogue between the multidisciplinary research group and stakeholders in working life.

Shifting care, shifting caps

  • Aim: is to produce knowledge to advance equality in women’s career development and salary gap, women and immigrants’ participation in working life as well as men’s opportunities to participate in family life
  • Work-family relationship through intersectional lens
  • An interest is in age, gender, ethnicity and regionality in the context of changing social values and economic environment

Social sustainability in work organisations

  • Aim: to facilitate maintaining the ability to work, lengthening of working careers and promoting equality in work life
  • Focuses on coping at work and blurring boundaries between work and non-work in the intensified 24/7-economy
  • Themes: Leadership, organizational policies and practices, discourses on work and non-work, and silences within the discourses through an intersectional lens

Emerging Diversities

  • Aim: focuses to facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable, discriminated and/or marginalized groups into education and working life
  • Explores practices, experiences and discourses with intersections in focus
  • Seeks to create and develop practical tools for lengthening working life careers and promoting equality, and look at the intersections of ethnicity, gender, regionality, nationality, religion, language, disabilities, and sexual orientation
